What does it take to be Green?

Hohmann and Barnard, Inc. Marketing, a division of a masonry systems manufacturer located in Long Island, NY, aims to have the first LEED certified commercial interior office in the city of Lafayette, Indiana. Hohmann and Barnard Inc., an industry leader in the design and fabrication of stone support systems, concrete, and masonry accessories since 1933; has made a profound commitment to Green Building. A USGBC member, the company currently dedicates 50% of its marketing budget toward the advertising and promotion of its green products and green building efforts. When Lafayette, Indiana was selected as the site of their marketing office, the company felt it important to make every effort to develop the office into a LEED certified commercial interior.

Jessica HullingerJessica Hullinger is a junior at Indiana University, where she is majoring in journalism with a second concentration in sociology and a minor psychology. She has written articles for publications such as IU’s student newspaper, the Indiana Daily Student and the Bloomington Alternative, where her focus was mainly on environmental issues.

Jessica is a strong advocate for the environment and taking the steps necessary to put an end to global warming and environmental exploitation. After she graduates, Jessica hopes to write for a major publication in New York City and continue to pursue her passion of environmental activism.
